Born and raised in Malibu, Malibu Makos has been sharing a love and respect for the ocean with surfers of all ages for over 30 years. What started as a passion for surfing and ocean safety has grown into one of Malibu’s most trusted surf programs.
Our team of experienced ocean lifeguards, professional surf instructors, and dedicated watermen and women create a safe, supportive, and unforgettable experience in the water. From first-time surfers to experienced riders, Malibu Makos helps people build confidence, skill, and a lifelong connection to the ocean.

What We Offer
Classic Surf Camp
Setting the surf camp standard for 30+ years. Learn to surf, build ocean confidence, and have fun in the water. Come shred with us!
- For ages 4 – 17
- Attend ANY Day- ANY 5 Days, ANY 10 Days or ANY 15 DAYS
- You can make up any missed days at NO Charge
- All equipment is provided
- Prime location on Zuma Beach
- Transportation Available from Encino- Woodland Hills-Calabasas-Agoura-Thousand Oaks
- Permitted and licensed by the LA County Dept. of Beaches & Harbors

Born and raised in Malibu, Malibu Makos has delivered world-class surf lessons for 30+ years. Our licensed, insured instructors create safe, memorable surf experiences for all ages and skill levels.
