Malibu Makos Education in Ocean Safety Seminar
The Malibu Makos offers school seminars in ocean safety that provides a great opportunity for students in your school or members of your group to become further educated in Ocean Safety. Our Ocean Safety seminars cover an array of beach and ocean related topics from Rip Currents to Piers and Jetties.
The beaches of Southern California are wonderful places to spend the day, whether it is swimming, surfing, bodysurfing ,exploring tide-pools, or enjoying any of the many other great activities that our beautiful coast provides.
The education you will receive in our Ocean Safety seminars will enhance your knowledge of the "Impact Zone", rip currents, lateral currents, wave judgement and selection as well as other ocean and beach safety topics. You will also receive instruction and training in : Body surfing, Body boarding, surfing, SUP, ocean swimming and lifeguard rescue techniques. the safety of ones next time at the beach and increase an individuals knowledge of the ocean making the beach and ocean the safe places to visit.
Seminars include a one hour long presentation in Ocean Safety and answering related questions. In addition, detailed ocean safety handbooks are provided for all participants that cover the majority of the material within the presentation.
By completing the course participants with not only make they're beach experience as safe as possible our students will gain tremendous confidence in their abilities to excel in the ocean environment.
As lifeguards and waterman it is our responsibility to ensure the safety of beach visitors by preventing, reporting, and monitoring hazards, as well as assisting those that in need of help while in danger. Our Seminars are intended to increase participants Ocean Safety awareness and other various related activities. LIFEGUARDS FOR LIFE!
